Introduktion...

This is a little mission Ive made for Liero. One player is a VIP (very important person), and the other is a Ninja, trying to assasinate the VIP.

The VIP has a lot of hit-points, but is easy to see, and the Ninja is EXTREMELY hard to see, but is pretty fragile!

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-
Installation; Just place all these files in your Liero directory. Youll then be asked if want to overwrite the existing Liero.snd , press yes. To play NinjaLiero with the new weapons, start liero with the NinjaLiero.exe file . Activate the Ninja graphics file with LieroKit. Remember to load the Ninja.dat file inside the game.

These 6 files...

The Readme file (this one!)
Building.lev	A Liero level made by me (cool to play Ninja in, thats why its here!)
Ninja.chr	A graphics file. The Worms weapons have been "removed", so that the grey weapon wont make the Ninja stand out!
Ninja.dat	The suggested dat file, to play NinjaLiero with (though you can of course edit the controls!)
NinjaLiero.exe	A liero.exe file with new Ninja weapons!
Liero.snd	Liero sound file with two new sounds. Overwrite the old Liero.snd with this one.

The gameplay...

What you need to play NinjaLiero.
Liero 1.33 (of course!)
Two players
Use the Ninja.dat file
Tune the brightness on your screen down (very much, actually), so the ninja is almost impossible to see (but you should of course be able to see him, but it has to be hard!)
To make NinjaLiero VERY fun to play, you can try to make a piece of cardboard to place in the middle of the screen, so you cant look at the other players split-screen!

As i wrote before the Ninja is black, and the screen is very dark. Fun! You might think that its hardest to be the VIP, but actually the Ninja is tougher to play with. You very easily get killed compared to the VIP, and if you blow your cover (large explosions lightens up the screen, making you much more visible for a second) or fires of a Smg all the time youre also very easy to see! Even though he can be hard to play with, its still f****** fun to hunt the VIP with a dagger..!

The VIP can take much more punishment, but is easy to see. Its fun to be the VIP, inside the house (the Building level), when you know the Ninjas also there. Was that a Ninja?? You fire off a Smg in all directions, but hit nothing. Seconds later a dagger strikes you in the back, instantly removing a huge amount of health... :-)

Its not very fun to play Ninja with the old weapons, as theyre too "wierd" and powerful. So i only recommand using these weapons...
Theres not too many right now, but more maybe following. MAYBE!

The weapons...

All these weapons have been made to be fair. Each with their own strenghts and weakness. All weapons are worth having, unlike many of the original weapons in Liero. Pick the weapons that fits the best with your class. The upgrades you can get with some of the weapons (Kriss, Nasty Star and Cluster Bomb) are of course much better than their smaller brothers, so go get em!

Smg (sub machine gun)	A mixture of the old Winchester, and a Uzi. Firing in bursts of 3 bullets each time. Comes with a lasersight. The VIPs favourite! You can get it in the menu.
Pros; Lasersight, good in close combat.
Cons; Not very handy if you wanna hide yourself.

Silenced Smg Like the Smg, though is soundless and fires invisible bullets. It is not as powerful as the Smg. A Ninja favourite! You can get this weapon in the menu.
			Pros; silent, invisible bullets.
Cons; not as powerful as the normal Smg, sometimes it will drop a shell...

Grenade Just like the old one! Always nice to have. You can get it in the menu.

Cluster Bomb Just like the old one! A bigger, better Grenade. Try and swap Grenade for a Cluster Bomb, if you can find one. You can only get this weapon in crates.

Dagger A very short ranged weapon, therefor it is best for Ninjas. It is very damaging (50%! Ouch!). But you have to get close to your target... You can get it in the menu!
			Pros; VERY damaging
Cons; extremely short range and can be hard to hit with.

Kriss A much better Dagger, doing 84% damage!! Dont get near a Krissie!! You can only find it in crates! Phew!

Throwing star Fires off a fast flying spike-ball-looking thing!. Its not affected by gravity, and sticks to walls (you can stick em to the floor to make traps for your opponent). Doesent make much noice when thrown, making it a great Ninja weapon, though VIPs will also find it really great! It does 34% damage, and can be selected in the menu!
Pros; fast and accurate, very damaging, sticks to walls.
			Cons; long reload time.

Nasty star A bigger, better T. star! Does 50% damage. Find this one in a crate!

Demolition If you feel like planting huge bombs today, select the demolition. It will lay on the ground for a while, untill a mass of small nuke fragments will erupt from it! Get it in the menu!
			Pros; Very dangerous, invisible
Cons; You can easily forget where you laid your Demolitions!

Gatling Gun A slower version of the old chaingun. Its bullets are very fast and accurate. They can also punch through dirt, unlike the Smgs. Its best for the VIP, in long range fighting.
Pros; Accurate, fast flying, removes dirt.
Cons; long reload time, not as good in close-combat as Smgs.

Tactics...
Here is a little strategy guide to each "person" in NinjaLiero. They are meant for people who uses the piece of cardboard in the middle, and plays on Building.lev .

VIP tactics
The VIP has a lot of hit-points and can shrug off most grenade fragments and Silenced Smg bullets hits, that can easily turn a Ninja into 6 flying body-parts.
The recommanded weapons for the VIP is the Smg, Gatling Gun, Grenade, Demolition and Throwing Star. The Dagger is not really worth anything to the VIP as you cant easily see and hit the Ninja, who, if close by, is probably also using dagger.
Smg is one your best pals. Its lasersight is very nice to have, as your crosshair turns green when you point is at the other player, making it easier to see the Ninja. It also deals out much damage in close-combat.
The Demolition is very good to have. If you know that the Ninja is somewhere below you, try dropping a Demolition down there (itll fall down a little bit in front of you). Watch the nice explosions! Try and learn how much time it takes for the demo. to explode. You can use this in battles with the Ninja. Drop one, shoot at him (if you can see him!) and then flee when you think its about to explode. Most Ninja players doesnt pursue right away, but finds a little place to hide close where the battle was fought a few seconds before setting after the VIP, but then the demo. explodes...
VIPs can be a little hard to shoot is they hang on to the ceiling. Ninjas cant "dag" you there, but they can shoot you from the bottom, and you cant shoot them!
Remember to use the Smgs lasersight. When you see a green crosshair; be alert!

Ninja tactics
The number one ninja priority; Dont get seen! You can only take a little more than the damage of the VIP, so dont do anything stupid! The recommanded weapons for the Ninja is the Silenced Smg, Dagger, Throwing Star, Grenade and Demolition.
The silenced smg should be treated just like its noisy counter-part, exept that it doesnt deal out as much damage. Remember that even though it doesnt make any noice or you cant see its bullets it sometimes leaves a shell. So its not perfect. Try always to sneak in on your opponent. With a dagger (or Kriss!) you can deal very much damage without the VIP ever finding out what happened! Try to minimize your use of ninjarope, as it gives away your position (you can crawl up most of the way on the right side of the middle building). You can use the demolition in the same way as the VIP.

Misc. things...

The lamps on the level was taken from the "Commando" level. Find it on "Liero Extreme", both the level, and web page rocks!

Remember to tune down the brightness on the screen.

For a wierd battle, both of you could be Ninjas.

Have fun and happy lieroing!

Do you have any ideas for NinjaLiero?? Or just want to tell me how good (or bad! :-) it is?? Or just wanna chat?? Mail me at Xhilipeppa@herzeleid.net !
